Description: Salmon Creek is a wonderful trail that is sometimes overlooked and likely under run. The trail head is located at the power house on the downtown side of the intersection by Twin Lakes and Bartlett Hospital. Salmon Creek trail starts out with a bang, the first 1/4 mile is a steep climb up a gravel road, stick with it as the trail levels out as it winds along Salmon Creek on its way towards the old powerhouse located ~ 2 miles from the trail head. As one approaches the old powerhouse the trail splits the right fork crosses the bridge and ends at the old powerhouse while the right fork continues up to the Salmon Creek Reservoir. From the reservoir it is a fast and fun descent back to the trail head.
